Job Posting: Grants Manager (30 hours per week)
The West Virginia Professional Charter School Board (PCSB) seeks a Grants Manager. Responsibilities will be completed remotely in 30 hours per week and could be accomplished in a four-day work week. The position has room for advancement, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role with the PCSB in late 2025 or 2026. West Virginia residency is preferred.
The PCSB was selected for funding under the Expanding Opportunity Through Quality Charter Schools Program—also known as the federal Charter Schools Program (CSP). The Grants Manager should understand and support charter schooling as a strategy for strengthening public education. The most important traits are: superior work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to new circumstances. Experience with Microsoft Office and government bureaucracy required. Experience with grants a plus.
Some job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist Executive Director with management of subgrant competitions for eligible schools.
Develop policies necessary to comply with federal laws, regulations, and requirements.
Review and process subgrant reimbursement requests, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Assist Executive Director in providing technical assistance to subgrantees, thereby increasing the likelihood that subgrantees have successful grant projects.
Develop and implement monitoring procedures to support subgrantee compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Manage relationships with external peer-reviewers and technical assistance contractors.
Communicate clearly and professionally with U.S. Department of Education staff.
Coordinate webinars for subgrant applicants.
